Job Summary: The Clinician will coordinate and provide treatment for patients in accordance with the philosophy,
mission, standards, policies, and procedures of the agency. Serve as a licensed clinical treatment provider who identifies
client service needs and delivers care as specified in their treatment plan. Treatment plans may include any/all of the
following: group and individual addiction treatment services, behavioral health therapy, and assessment.

• Productive and collaborative working relationships with clients, parents, guardians, and community partners are
maintained to successfully deliver services.
• Clinical and administrative records are timely and accurate, and documentation is completed concurrently.

Essential Functions:
• Conducts diagnostic assessment for dual disorders, urine drug screening, and diagnostic evaluation to assess client
need and make recommendation.
• Develops, with client, a mutually acceptable treatment plan based on identified needs. Provides brief interventions
for behavioral health care and crisis intervention.
• Implements a collaborative process that facilitates the client’s progress toward mutually determined treatment goals
and objectives. Appropriately uses evidence base practices as they apply to modalities of care for individuals.
• Facilitates the client’s utilization of available support systems and community resources to meet needs of client with
focus on improving social determinants of health as stated in treatment plan.
• Offers case management and client advocacy to establish a framework of action for the client to achieve specified
objectives and goals, including:
o Coordinating referral services for treatment and financial assistance.
o Coordinating client activities with community resources and managed care system.
o Advocating for client needs.
• Protects client rights to privacy and confidentiality in the preparation and handling of records, especially regarding
the communication of client information with third parties.
• Prepares accurate and concise assessments reports and treatment review and discharge summaries consistent
with Agency standards and applicable administrative rules.
• Records progress of client in relation to treatment objectives and goals and continuing care plans that are consistent
with Agency standards and applicable administrative rules.
• Completes all case documentation within 48 hours.
• Consults with billing department as needed on financial and/or insurance verifications.

• Adheres to established professional codes of ethics to maintain professional standards and safeguards
confidentiality and proper treatment of the client.
• Adheres to Federal and State laws and Agency regulations regarding the treatment of behavioral health disorders.
• Obtains appropriate continuing professional education and maintains state licensure.
• Provides positive customer relations in dealing with patients, families, prescribers, fellow department employees,
other Agency departments, referral resources, service agencies, and others.
• Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in related field and the eligible license (LSW, LISW, LISW-S, LPCC-S, LPCC, LPC or LICDCCS, LICDC or LCDC II-III)
Required Education/Skills/Abilities:
• Physical, sensory, and cognitive abilities sufficient to perform essential functions.
• Good interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills.
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer and standing, bending and moving.
• Requires some exposure to communicable diseases or body fluids.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 20 pounds.
Travel: Periodic travel within community and between locations
Work Environment:
Business hours are generally Monday through Friday; however, some evening & weekend hours may be necessary to
meet all client services/programs. Position may also be required to respond to emergencies (on-call) depending on
program/level of care.
